Public Speakers

 The Kane County State's Attorney's Office will provide speakers who will discuss a variety of law-related issues for your community group, school group or classroom at no cost. Assistant State's Attorneys have spoken on a variety of subjects, including:

  • Computer crimes

  • Sex offender laws

  • DUI laws

  • Child Advocacy Center

  • Child abuse

  • Elder abuse (physical and financial)

  • Identity theft

  • The constitution in the courtroom

  • Forensic evidence in the courtroom

  • Mock trials

  • Domestic violence

  • Crime and punishment for children

  • The risks of drug and alcohol use

  • The role of the SAO Civil Division

  • Paralegals

  • Child support

  • The SAO's Second Chance program

  • How a bill becomes a law


Many of these programs are developed specifically for children.
