The Aurora Branch is staffed with three support staff personnel, and a full time Assistant State's Attorney. The Elgin Branch is staffed with three support staff personnel, and two full time Assistant State's Attorneys. Bond call is held at each branch on a daily basis for defendants that were arrested in the previous 24 hours. The staff interviews victims and witnesses on all types of misdemeanor cases and issues charging documents for everything from a traffic matter to a felony charge. Orders of Protections are done at both locations.
Various communities have their cases heard in the branch courts. The Aurora Court hears cases from the City of Aurora, Village of North Aurora, Village of Montgomery, Village of Sugar Grove and the Fox Valley Park District. Elgin Court cases come from the City of Elgin, Village of South Elgin, Village of Carpentersville, Village of East Dundee, Village of West Dundee, Village of Sleepy Hollow, and the Village of Gilberts.
